FAMILY & LITIGATION
Although the firms which combined to make Vine Orchards have been in the Exmouth area for over 100 years, we have only undertaken litigation for the last 40 years or so.
As our work is almost exclusively with private clients’, inevitably we deal with families and sometimes families have problems and relationships break down. Again, families often run businesses and whether there is a difference with a neighbour over a boundary or a difficulty with resolving a disagreement in business, it may be that only proceedings in Court can resolve the problem or protect our Clients’ interests.
Our primary aim in any sort of litigation is to serve our Clients’ best interests and to seek, wherever possible, to resolve matters with the minimum of risk and cost. Where that can only be achieved by the involvement of the Family Court or the County Court, we have the experience and the expertise to help. Our first concern however is to see if the matter can be resolved without involving a Court and at the minimum expense to our Client.
The bulk of the Court work which we undertake involves the Family Court and the breakdown of relationships and the difficulties of ensuring that children retain contact with parents without involvement in adult disputes.
We are members of Resolution, the Solicitors Family Law Association. This hard-won endorsement is given by the Law Society of England and Wales and demonstrates our commitment to providing an excellent service to all our clients’.
